 Jason Vieaux Concert and Masterclass
NYCCGS will be sponsoring a masterclass by Jason Vieaux on Sunday, Nov 9,
2003 at 2:00 P.M. The class will be following his New York City debut at
Merkin Concert Hall on Sat, Nov 8.
Mr. Vieaux is widely recognized as one of the most exciting guitarists of
his generation. His dynamic concert programs are highlighted by his
effortless virtuosity, natural musicianship and an engaging manner with
audiences worldwide. These attributes have earned him a busy schedule of
solo, chamber and concerto engagements with recent performances in such
locales as Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, San Diego, Cleveland, Ft. Worth,
Santa Fe, St. Petersburg and the Virgin Islands. Concert tours take him
across the United States and Spain, France, Canada, Mexico, Southeast Asia
and New Zealand. He recently completed tours of Japan and Malaysia.
Additionally, Jason Vieaux's two critically acclaimed recordings for Naxos
Records have sold over 40,000 copies internationally. He currently resides
in Cleveland, Ohio and is the Head of the Cleveland Institute of Music
Guitar Department.
