Guitarist Matt Gould and violinist Beth Ilana Schneider,better know as
Duo46,is touring the USA during February with concerts,masterclasses and
lectures.
These specialists in contemporary music will be joined by paianist Nathaniel
May to present recently commissioned trios by Carson Cooman ,Ed Mascari and Paul
Richards, a rarely performed work by Dan Asia for his 50th Birthday Season
Celebration and works from their latest Summit Records cd "Untaming the Fury".
Duo46 are members of the msuic faculty at Eastern Mediterranean University in
Cyprus. Since 1988, Duo46 has been committed to the creation of new chamber
works for guitar (duet to nonet). Over 50 works have either been commissioned by
them or dedicated to them. Their US itinerary includes events at Kennedy Center
(Feb.6), Florida East Coast Guitar Society,Melbourne (Feb.8), University of
Florida,Gainsville (Feb.10), University of Nebraska at Kearney (Feb.16), Harvard
University (Feb.19) and Wellesley College (Feb.20).
