When: 27 August 2006 - 2 September 2006

All guitarists are invited to the International Festival FORUM GITARRE WIEN 2006 (Vienna, Austria). The location is the centrally located „Konservatorium für Musik und Drama-tische Kunst“. Its stylish ambience and the comfortable restaurants, where all the festival  participants meet for lunch and after the concerts, are part of the pleasant atmosphere. This festival brings together diverse groups of participants that include visitors, guitarists, the artists, instructors, guitar makers and publishers.

This year the guitar makers LESZEK GAJDZIK and STEFAN NITSCHKE are contributing two concert-guitars  for the winners of the two International Competitions.

The winners of  last year,  Marlon Titre and Sanel Redzic, will perform at FORUM GITARRE WIEN 2006.

There is also a program for children and youth (ensemble & competition). The purpose of this youth program is to awaken the pleasure of music and to make the start into the professional world of music easier.

International music publishers, guitar builders (with special guitar presentations) and music shops will present instruments, scores and „everything dealing with the guitar“.
